Egis teams up with Saudi airport-tech firm

French consultant Egis has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nera, A Saudi Arabian technical consultant to the aviation sector, to provide expertise in air traffic management and airport development, design and operation.

The pair will develop a list of projects to collaborate on.

Egis noted that Saudi Arabia’s tourism strategy aims to triple air passenger traffic from around 100 million today to more than 300 million by 2030.

“A high-performing aviation sector will be key to achieving these ambitions, and this means collaborating and innovating,” said Thanos Deriziotis, Egis’ aviation director for the Middle East and South Asia.
